PLASTIC GIVES UP THE SPOON
McDonald's is ditching plastic with immediate effect! And as part of the campaign of the same name, this should of course be communicated as spectacularly as possible, but also in a sustainable way. Mission accepted!
When we found out that it would end up being our FLIP MURAL concept, we immediately toasted and celebrated with a few milkshakes. The so-called lenticular effect, in which two different artworks can be seen on one and the same wall surface depending on the viewing angle, has never been realized on this scale in Germany before. The whole thing is made possible by a special wooden construction that we installed in a vertically arranged, triangular shape on the two façades in Berlin and Cologne. The choice of the two locations also played into our hands. This is because the lenticular effect was particularly effective from the Berlin Ringbahn at Wedding S-Bahn station and also from the Cologne S-Bahn at Ehrenfeld station as it passed by.
It goes without saying that the wood for this came from purely organic cultivation. In addition, the motifs and the background were implemented as GREEN MURAL with air-purifying, photocatalytic mineral paint. To prevent the wood used from being removed from the natural cycle, a large proportion was sold on after the campaign was completed and the proceeds donated to McDonald's Kinderhilfe. The remainder was donated to a construction playground in Cologne and will be available to young and old builders to expand their playground in the future.
Mission accomplished!
