NETFLIX - WEDNESDAY CRYING MURAL
Hard Facts:
Sometimes a mural or a standard giant poster just isn't enough. For Netflix and the launch of *Wednesday* Season 2, we created an installation in the heart of Cologne that only reveals its full impact when you move.
At first glance, the motif looks like an oversized piece of artwork on the building’s facade. Only upon closer inspection does it become clear... Wednesday is crying. Black tears slowly stream down her face, transforming the installation into a moment that lies somewhere between a film still, a staged scene, and an urban intervention.

To achieve this effect, the motif was not painted in the traditional manner, but rather constructed from large-format printed panels and combined with a hidden technical installation. Behind the façade, a system was created that actually made the iconic black tears flow—right there on the spot, in the heart of Ehrenfeld.
During the day, the artwork catches the eye; once darkness falls, the installation takes on a whole new atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for Wednesday: eye-catching, gloomy, and just a little bit unsettling to look at. 👀
