RALPH LAUREN - HOLIDAY
Hard Facts:
Between scaffolding tubes, paintbrushes, and spray cans, one of our most detailed and photorealistic murals in recent memory took shape right at Berlin’s EAST SIDE GALLERY.
For Ralph Lauren, the entire façade was recreated step by step—from the massive typographic panels down to the finest shadows, fabric textures, and light reflections on the cowboy’s face.
It is precisely with designs like this that you can see just how much precision goes into large-scale facade painting. While Berlin traffic flows by below and streams of tourists marvel at the EAST SIDE GALLERY, transitions, surfaces, and textures are created with millimeter precision on cramped scaffolding. Spray cans, paint rollers, and traditional painting techniques are constantly used in combination.

Cowboy aesthetics in the heart of Berlin.
With the completion of the Ralph Lauren mural, the eye-catching facade at the EAST SIDE GALLERY has become a massive fashion statement in the urban landscape.
The motif blends classic Americana vibes with the raw energy of Berlin’s urban landscape: a fringed jacket, a cowboy hat, and a vast landscape—right next to the multi-lane Mühlenstraße, the noise of traffic, and the iconic Oberbaum Bridge.
It is precisely this contrast that makes the artwork so powerful.
The mural really comes into its own in the evening hours. Against a backdrop of streaks of light, passing traffic, and the Berlin skyline, the façade looks almost like an oversized magazine cover set against the urban landscape.
