Many sneakers come and go. The adidas Superstar is one of the few that have stood the test of time. For decades, it has shaped street culture, music, sports, and fashion—and has long since become more than just a shoe.
For adidas Originals, we created a bold mural on one of our most prominent surfaces near Berlin’s East Side Gallery, celebrating exactly that status. The focal point is soccer rising star Lamine Yamal, who represents the next generation of a silhouette that has long since achieved legendary status in its own right.
Located between Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, surrounded by traffic, bicycles, and thousands of passersby every day, the artwork has become an integral part of Berlin’s cityscape. Its minimalist black-and-white design ensures maximum visibility and lets the essential take center stage: the superstar.
After all, true classics don't have to be loud to stand out.
