SHINY FLAKES
Our friends at NETFLIX have once again brought an absolutely remarkable story to the big screen - the fascinating and true story of “shiny flakes”, a darknet nursery dealer from Leipzig. To promote the film and reach a wider audience, we once again came up with something very special. In Cologne Ehrenfeld, we painted an oversized and impressive technical drawing of the children's room of Maximilian Schmidt, the protagonist of the documentary series. Covering almost 200 square meters, we worked with great care and precision to depict every detail of the room that plays such a central role in the story. The importance of art in public spaces can hardly be underestimated. Our artistic interventions not only beautify the urban landscape, but also create platforms for public discourse and social interaction. Artworks such as this hand-painted mural open up new perspectives on current social issues and invite passers-by to pause and reflect on the content depicted. They create access to topics that might otherwise go unnoticed. The choice of Cologne Ehrenfeld as the location for this art project also underlines the importance of the district as a center of creative and cultural activities in Cologne. By using public space as a canvas, art is made accessible to all, which contributes significantly to the democratization of art and culture.
