FERRERO - ONLY NUTELLA IS NUTELLA
Hard Facts:
Before the first pixel went up on the wall for Nutella, the project started out completely analog, rather than on a MacBook. With pencils, paper, references, and an idea. For Nutella, we first developed the design in the studio—from the initial sketch to the final composition.
The combination of a croissant, the moon, and the tongue-in-cheek tagline gave rise to a concept that works instantly: familiar, surprising, and with just the right touch of nostalgia.
The MOTION effect was already incorporated into the design phase so that the illustrations, spatial effects, and animation would work together seamlessly later on.

From the edge of the table straight to a facade spanning several stories. Once the design concept was finalized, the idea gradually came to life on our wall in Cologne. Stars, bold typography, product illustrations, and three-dimensional elements were created by hand and applied to the surface with the utmost precision.
A special highlight: The croissant and the jar of Nutella weren’t simply painted flat on the wall, but were rendered with shadows in such a way that they appeared to be integrated into the artwork as 3D objects. This created an additional visual layer that provided the perfect foundation for the MOTION effect that followed.

During the day, the artwork blends into the urban landscape as an oversized spatial still life. But as soon as darkness falls, the project reveals its unique dimension: light, movement, and perspective transform the façade into a vibrant experience.
Through the interplay of painting, object construction, and animation, a traditional outdoor advertisement was transformed into a true MOTION MURAL®, and a croissant was instantly turned into a little moment of magic right in the heart of Cologne.
